Slalom explores the subtle misalignment between the human body and the abstract structure of time. While the decimal system reflects the body’s anatomy—ten fingers—time is more coherently structured in twelves, due to its basis in circular geometry and astronomical cycles. The division of circles by 12 and 60, numbers rich in divisors, reflects a geometric logic rather than an organic one.

Yet inconsistencies persist—between 12 and 10, 360 and 365.2425—revealing gaps between abstraction and the physical world. The work visualizes these discrepancies through folded conical sculptures derived from circular segments and a video of a body on rollerblades weaving through them. Together, they trace a movement through the slippages between time, space, and embodiment.
